The Top Ten (Part 2)

#6 Indianapolis Colts –  Quenton Nelson, G
Looking at the trade the Colts did, they must be feeling pretty good about their haul. They also must feel like they would be able to get the guy they were looking at all this time. Barkley will be off the board by now, which takes us to Nelson. He is considered the best guard in the draft, in fact, he could be the best in a very long time. Some people are going as high as saying pro-bowler and gold jacket worthy. No pressure, right?

#7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB
He’s a super athletic, defensive back that can play all over the secondary. He can play multiple positions and fill many holes in a defense that gave up 382 points last year. This guy has the intensity to give 110% every game and has a nose for the ball. He would be a smart grab for a Buccaneers defense that can use all the help it can get.

#8 Chicago Bears – Tremaine Edmunds, LB
After just getting beat on grabbing Quenton Nelson, the Bears turn to another position that they have overhauled this offseason. The Bears go with Tremaine Edmunds. The Bears need another solid linebacker who can play any lineback position. He has both the speed and agility to go with his big frame. And considering he has room to grow, he is going to make this defense only better as he gets better.

#9 San Francisco 49ers – Denzel Ward, CB
I originally had the 49ers drafting Tremaine Edmunds, but since he got picked before they got their chance, I see them going with another defensive player. I think they take Denzel Ward. He has great footwork and can read routes very well too. He is on the smaller side but is super-fast and can get in receiver’s faces. And we know how much teams covet disruptive players.

#10 Oakland Raiders – Roquan Smith, OLB
With this pick, the Raiders grab Smith and solidify another link in their defensive chain. He has great instincts and good athletic ability. Having strong skills has helped his draft stock and would give the Raiders another great player on a solid defense. He will have some growing pains, but once he puts it all together, the Raiders will have one strong group on defense.
